smilee!!!

Everything went great!! except for a few unFortTunate events which we Fortunately manage by ourself...heheh..what a blissfull day..Everyone seems to enjoy the trip very well especially those who knows how to swim !!!( miss faten la tue terjun sakan masuk kolam!!Dia la orang pertama mandi dulu!!)In brief..i`m glad that no one get hurt or sick during the journey..

We departed 8.00am to reach there by 11.00am..It was suppose to take only for two hours but we had to stop at Modibiri(i think so..)because one of my friend vomit and we had to buy anti-motion sickness pills called promethazine before continuing the journey. Luckily, there is a nearby house, and a young men was standing in front of the door..I ran to the house and got some water. The word "panni" which means water in Hindi..just slipped from my mouth..He rushed in the house and brought me a labu sayong-like-steel bucket filled with water within seconds..I helped my friend cleaned herself and we are ready to go for the journey...Thanks to the pills, none of us had vomit or nausea.. The road going up the hills was incredibly bad. Alhamdulillah,we had the pills ...The"zig-zag" road was making me very nauseatic and as i turned back ,i found all my friends sleeping soundly.. But then, but i coudn`t sleep..I`m so afraid to let him driving alone..The way he drives makes me uneasy, and whenever i dozed off, i quickly opened my eyes..damm..It was a terrifying experience!!!(There is one time that he brakes suddenly in the middle of a steel bridge. He couldn`t take over a lorry..Imagine that!! chuaksz glerr..and the river below is so deep..full with pointed rocks!! In my mind, all i could think was "it would be great if i know swimming!"..huhuuh..)The dreadfull event ends there..

Well, when we reached Hanumungundi falls...the view of mountains takes my breath away. The air was cool and refreshing. When looking up the sky,i wished that the rain won`t come down, and yeah it didn`t..I woke up my friends and told them to unpack ,dividing the stuff that we had to bring down .I read in some article,it was 387 stairs...Hmmm i`m guessing its true..because the climb took only 5-7minutes or so..compared to Jogfalls stairs which has 1800 stairs for 40 minutes...I didnt even sweat a drop!!(I remember it well because the leg pain for climbing the Jogfalls stairs remained for a week!! Kena jalan kengkang tau...panjat tangga n naek turun bus pun susah..)Going down makes no hassle, but going up was a different thing...

The place is considered to be clean and the stairs looks fairly nice to me..There is only 2 floors(i dont know what else to call it..floors o stage..or tingkat..).The one on top is just below the tail of the fall..i didn`t go there but i know it seems wider than the one below. The one below is quite deep but has shallow places at the side of the pond. It is big as one classroom...

Okay in brief :-
  • Venue : Hanumungundi Falls ,Karnataka,India
  • Duration : 2 hours from Mangalore
  • Mini bus charge transport : 4500rupees up down for 20 seats
  • Entry ticket: 20 rupees per head
  • Food menu: NasiLemak(me,faten and zaty), Karipap, truffle, popiah, airtembikai(yenepoyagurls) sandwiches(ab shetty gurls)
As for future guidance,i hoped that those who want to go there..i suggest that you should come as early as you can..because it is such a small fall. By 2 o`clock there will be a lot of people..school childeren, aunties, uncles, to old aunties wearing sarees and salwars, and macho looking guys wearing dhoti..I have to remind you that there is no place to change your wet dresses. There is only a small hut made from river stones which only able to accomodate for one person inside.

I really hope to come here again..with different people and different food!!
